Wall-to-Wall Green: Myrtle Beach’s Best Overseeded Courses

After a long winter in the Northeast or Midwest, there are few things more inviting than a golf course covered in green grass. While nearly every Myrtle Beach golf course overseeds its tees and fairways, a select group of layouts also overseed the rough, giving sunshine-deprived players emerald green turf almost as far as the eye can see.

If wall-to-wall green grass is a priority, here are nine Myrtle Beach courses that should be atop your 2026 wish list:

● Home to 27 holes, Arrowhead Country Club has long overseeded throughout, combining outstanding spring conditions with those memorable IntracoastalArrowhead Country Club Waterway views. (Arrowhead Lakes 9th hole pictured right)

Wild Wing’s Avocet Course, one of the area’s most creative designs, is going green, meaning the drivable par-4 14th hole, all 265 yards of it, will be more inviting than ever.

The Dunes Club will be in idyllic condition when the PGA Tour returns in May for the third annual Myrtle Beach Classic, providing some of the world’s best players with a proper test.

● One of South Carolina’s premier public courses, Grande Dunes features five holes that play along the Intracoastal, most notably the par-3 14th, and a layout with expansive fairways and some of the area’s largest greens complexes.

● Architect Brandon Johnson recently completed a 2-year, 2-part renovation of King’s North and the Arnold Palmer original is better than ever. King’s North will be one of Myrtle Beach’s most sought-after tee times in 2026.

● All 18 holes at Man O’War play around a 107-acre lake, meaning you won’t see much beyond green grass and water. Man O’War treats players to back-to-back island greens and a one-of-a-kind design.

● Myrtle Beach’s oldest course, Pine Lakes Country Club, will also be one of its greenest in the spring of 2026. The Granddaddy will be in primo condition as it celebrates its 99th birthday in the coming year, so make sure it’s on your list.

● A Jack Nicklaus signature course, Pawleys Plantation Golf Club is one of the area’s most memorable designs. Six back nine holes play along a saltwater marsh,Pawle highlighting the property’s stunning natural beauty. (Pawleys pictured right)

TPC Myrtle Beach was designed to test Tour-level players, and the Lanny Wadkins-Tom Fazio design has more than fulfilled that promise. Michael Brennan, Akshay Bhatia, Nick Dunlap and Alexa Pano are among the PGA/LPGA Tour champions who have also hoisted a trophy at TPC. (Top photo TPC Myrtle Beach 14th)

● Inspired by the great links courses of Scotland, The Wizard provides players a taste of golf in the Olde Country. Large greens, generous fairways, pot bunkers and creative mounding help The Wizard stand out in a crowded Myrtle Beach market.

When you emerge from winter, Myrtle Beach delivers everything you are looking for – green grass, blue skies, and conditions that feel a world away from what you’ve endured at home.
