Arrowhead Country Club
Split into three individual nine-hole courses – Cypress, Lakes and Waterway – Arrowhead Country Club in Myrtle Beach has the combinations to offer golfers a different feel each time out. The Cypress was designed around a natural hardwood wetland. Its mark is a three-hole stretch that includes Nos. 2-4. The second hole is a 571-yard par 5 with a mounded fairway that tricks players into shooting at the green earlier than they should. No. 3, a short par 3, asks players to traverse a parallel water hazard that splits the hole in two. And No. 4, while it has some scoring opportunities, requires not one, but two shots over a water hazard. The Lakes nine has a bit of a different feel, as the water involved is the Intercoastal Waterway. This stretch requires more finesse than power. Wrapping it up is the Waterway nine, a picturesque combination of the previous two.
The entire course switched to Mini-Verde Bermuda Greens in 2009 and also recently replaced all its entire golf fleet with 2012 EZ-GO TXT 48 carts. Arrowhead is conveniently located just minutes away from the heart of Myrtle Beach, a short drive from Myrtle Beach International Airport.
Arrowhead Country Club recently received an overall rating of 8.3 from reviewers at Myrtle Beach Golf Insider, with even higher marks in terms of course condition (tees, greens and fairways), as well as the pro shop and staff. The 27-hole Raymond Floyd/Tom Jackson design has also ranked as high as No. 8 on Myrtle Beach Golf Insider’s area course list amid a number of nationally known tracks. Other accolades include being named the 1998 “South Carolina Golf Course of the Year” by the National Golf Course Owners Association, a consistent winner among The Myrtle Beach Sun News’ “Best of the Beach” annual awards and WMBF News’ Best of the Grand Strand in 2012.

Kevin
Beautiful course. Love the layout
Steve
Outstanding course! Best we played in our 4 course Myrtle trip. Staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable and facilities were really top notch. Greens were fast and fair with several challenging holes and some par 5's that were just far enough to try and go for it in 2. Amazing views of the intercoastal water way and overall the best round of the trip! Thanks!
Kaylee
A beautiful course, lots of water opportunities! Really makes you think about your game

Played Cypress and lakes. Course is well maintained and a lot of fun. Cypress was a a bit harder than lakes but overall, we had a great time. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Jim
Beautiful course, friendly staff. Greens were great, fairways were a little wet in spots but in good shape.
Kenneth
nice course - would play it again

Loved the course and the staff. It was great! Needed either a beverage cart to come around more than once or have water on the course but playing here was delightful!
Joe
Fantastic course, very nicely maintained, Marshall’s to Beer Cart were fantastic.
William
Outstanding conditions, greens quick and consistent. Our group played the Waterway-Cypress nines. Great waterway views, Cypress nine puts premium on accuracy off the tee. A treat to play

Joe
Friendly staff, nice course to play.
Mark
Beautiful and in great shape.
Martin
Arrowhead has beautiful courses. While challenging it also gives you the opportunity to score. The staff was great to work with and helped out since we had not played before.
Ron
Great experience
Eddie
great course a testing layout but playable if your smart about it. course was in very good condition. pro shop is a nice size and had plenty of merchandise, could use a few more brands of ball to choose from. no golf cars to the driving range and no golf cars in the parking lot was strange and very inconvenient.
Jim
Excellent condition employees were very friendly and knowledgeable of course have played there many times over the years
Zachary
Great golf course that did a great job cleaning up after a hurricane. Only complaint is that the tee times were delayed by 90 minutes due to clean up. The delay is totally understandable, just wish that they had sent out an email or something the morning of to say it was delayed. Had we known that we would've not shown up to the course so early just to sit around and instead arrived closer to our newly scheduled start. Otherwise the course was perfect.
Greg
Enjoyable course and friendly staff. Will play again
Seth
Exceptional, nice conditions and service.
Dallas
Amazingly beautiful. Absolutely loved this course. Should be top 3 rated in South Carolina

Very challenging with lots of water carries. Course was in great shape. No true signature hole. Lakes was closed due to aeration.

Great shape, smooth greens loved the layout and great customer service
Charles
Very enjoyable and beautifully sculpted layout. Each hole is different on both 9’s we played. A very fun day off golf that does demand that you stay focused on the next shot always.

Kyle

Good, course was drier than Shaftesbury Glen, greens were excellent with no burned out areas.

Tom
Great shape
Ted
Fairways & Greens are in outstanding shape. Pace of play was good being they were very busy. Tough par 3's... Nice Staff
Ted
Course is in amazing shape. Great Staff from out front at the bag drop thru the clubhouse. Kudos to the on course rangers. Front played in 2 hrs 35 mins ( way to long ) Ranger went out & got the slower groups to speed up ( which is usually unheard down here ) Back nine 1 hr 55 mins.
Ted
Course is in rough shape right now. Not much grass on fairways & way too many bad spots on the greens for this time of year when most courses are in great shape. Layout is nice & the staff are very good. Hopefully the course can be improved soon.
Dennis
Ted
Course is in awesome shape from Tee's to the Greens. Bunkers could use some raking but not bad. The views are outstanding. Great staff.
Keith
Very nice course. Well maintained.
Barry
Course was well manicured. Greens were excellent, staff was great
Scott
Challenging course, excellent shape.
Jack
A fair and challenging test!
Ted
Course is in excellent condition from Tee to Greens. The greens are very smooth & putting great. Some strong Par 5's & Par 3's on this course.
Ted
As always the course is in excellent especially considering we just went thru a hurricane. Great customer service from the bag drop thru the clubhouse. Course is not overly long ( Senior Tees ) but has enough water & well placed bunkers to keep you challenged.
Ted
Course is in Excellent Shape. Greens are fast & putting true. Staff inside & out is very friendly & helpful. Highly recommend playing here.
Ted
Greens are in very good shape but course needs some work.
Christopher
The Range offered free Balls. stacked on a tray, nice extra. Above average greens and fairways. NOT an easy course , water on 70% of the holes
Ted
Course just reopened with the new Sunday Bermuda Greens which are in outstanding shape. Tee Boxes & Fairways are also in Great Shape. The rough is thick but playable. Bag drop guys, Inside staff & starters were extremely pleasant. Nice touch with ranger bringing around cold water. I have played this course many times but this is the best it has been. Play It.......
Ted
Course is in outstanding shape. Played Waterway to Cypress. Great Staff. 2nd group off this morning. 3 1/2 Hours to play 18 holes. One of the best course's in MB right now
Ted
Overall course is in good condition. Some rough patches on some front nice greens but very playable. Back nine greens are perfect. Nice staff. Pace of play was excellent. 3some teed off 7:30, back in the car by 11:20....
Jesse
The course was in amazing shape. The greens rolled really well and true.
Michael
I have played Arrowhead a few times before and really enjoy the course.
Ron
By far the best greens and the prettiest course in the Myrtle area
Randall
Unique holes. Great condition.
Linwood
I have played golf in MB for about 50 years. This was one of my best experiences. The course, practice area, and the staff were all amazing. I will be back.
Lawrence
great course, they had some severe damage to greens but were very accommodating to makeup for these conditions
Lawrence
great condition, always challenging. water, water, water
Seungbum
Very kind & good condition
Ted
Course is in excellent condition. Probably in the top 3 in MB right now for conditions. The staff are extremely friendly & helpful from the bag drop to inside the pro shop & grill. I highly recommend playing here.
Ted
Course is in excellent condition. Probably in the top 3 in MB right now for conditions. The staff are extremely friendly & helpful from the bag drop to inside the pro shop & grill. I highly recommend playing here.
Mike
Really enjoyed the consistency of the greens. Speed stayed even thru out the 18 we played. Even with the amount of rain before playing, and the course drying out as we played. All the staff we encountered were great, helpful and seemed happy we were there.Wish they would put the layout of the holes (like a yardage book) on the scorecard or with the cart.Being the first time playing the only time to get a good look at the hole was at the marker near the tee boxes. (Certainly not the end of the world thou)
Barney
Golf course was great as always and the Benny at the bag drop was the best. I recommend to everyone.
Timothy
I always enjoy Arrowhead but this year the course was a bit muddy and soft. You can run the fairways on most holes but be careful of the low spots which can make a mess. We got the first tee time of the day to get out as a twosome but they put a single with us again. I understand they want to group people but I still feel they force people on you whether you want another person or not. Pawley's Plantation gave us the option of adding someone or not. The fairways are quite wet but playable. The greens are in good shape and very puttable.
Jacob
Everything was great except the breakfast sandwiches. Need to toast the english muffins, and not burn the eggs.
Glenn
Very tight with lots of water. Tough but fair course.
Toby
Unlimited practice balls
Michael
Well manicured, nice setting, classic Carolina golf.
Joseph
Course and staff were great ....
Jim
GREAT Course! Immaculate condition other than VERY wet in a few places including two tee boxes virtually under water (which they couldn't do anything about). Some of the yardages got a little monotonous but we loved the lay-out and the condition other than wetness was exceptional.
Vince
Great track and staff. Will definitely play again and recommend
Paul
Played Cypress and Lakes. Cypress is more target golf with a small margin for error. Lakes is more forgiving and can be attacked for scoring. Both 9's in excellent shape with greens rolling smooth and quick.
Danie
The pin placements were extremely difficult.
David
Lakes 9 greens were meh. A little bumpy as they must have been aerated somewhat recently. Some burned out and thin in spots. Cypress 9 was in better shape. More lush and the greens were smooth.
Fred
Overall nice on the water 9 the green had been recently punch so a little bumpy.
Ray
Awesome course Tee To Green, in great shape. My 2nd time to play it. Will play again.
Josh
Outstanding!! Staff was friendly and course was great. Had one 9 closed due to aeration but the other 18 were in immaculate shape. I usually try to play something different each time I'm here but this one just might become a regular for me and my daughter!!
Virgil
Arrowhead is my favorite course in Myrtle Beach. They always take care of us. We have a tournament every year and they are the most friendly course, the rangers always are friendly and helpful. Most of the others are a pain !!!
George
Terrific all around golf facility. Has everything; fine practice area, very nice clubhouse and staff, and three terrific different nine holes which are in nice condition with interesting design and lots of variety. Can't go wrong with this place. Mid range pricing is appropriate.
Greg
Very nice course, challenging and in great shape.
Robert
Course in great shape staff very friendly course not over crowed played in 4.5 hours.
Jean
Greens were fast and above average. First nine holes were slow (2h 32m), but the marshall did a great jn and holes 9-18 were played under 2h 10.
Anne
Great condition. Average play speed. Challenging and very scenic.
Dave
The friendly crew that checked us in was outstanding. The course is challenging given the amount of water plus wind but it is fair. Very plush fairways with smooth and fast greens. Played 27 then went back for another 18 with a 'replay' rate. Excellent staff and course.
Anthony
The course was absolutely outstanding! Fairways had some bounce and run in them so take that into account with club selection.
William
Excellent service throughout. Tees were not cut on Waterway and Cypress courses, Lakes tees were perfect. Staff accommodated our request to play additional 9 holes and the fee was reasonable. Great experience.
Don
Great layout, course in excellent condition. Greens were very slow in the early morning.
Spike
Enjoyed playing. Was raining at the time of our original start and pro shop was very accommodating in pushing our time back a few hours. Great staff, challenging layout, plenty of water in play. Course overall in great shape.
Steve
Course was in good shape considering all the water the area has had. Best course we played this week.
Ray
Most unique selection of holes in MB. 27 holes and I would say that only two or three are your run of the mill holes that you would find on the average golf course. Five of the six par 5's are as fun, challenging and different than most par 5s you'll ever play. The par 3's are as picturesque as there is in MB as well as most courses elsewhere. Caledonia is my favorite course in MB but I would put Arrowhead right there with Grande Dunes, Tidewater and Prestwick. Always in great condition, staff awesome and always free range balls. If you have never played Arrowhead it is a must on your next trip. I have played 71 courses in MB and this will always be in my top 3/4. If you like golf as well as the course layout, routing and easy on the eye you will LOVE Arrowhead, I guarantee it!
Timothy
Always a great stop. Greens were in good shape, fairways a little thin but all the courses are struggling a bit with all the rain for the last 3 months. I would recommend a round here as it is one of the better layouts at Myrtle.
Timothy
A frost delay is a pain but the staff did their best to get things going and we had a good day. The fairways were a little thin in spots because of all the rain the area has suffered but they were playable. Arrowhead is always a good time. The greens were in great shape.
Ritch
Excellent.
John
Wonderfully condition golf course went fast greens. Great staff were informative and helpful.
Joe
Great course, very helpful and welcoming staff. Reasonably priced for the quality of the course and staff!
William
Challenging but very attractive views. Great condition.
Matt
Great course condition too many short par 4's
Greg
Beautiful Intracoastal Waterway holes. Greens were in great shape for this time of year.
Scott
Premium on accuracy off the tee with course playing even a little shorter than tees would indicate otherwise. One of the few Myrtle area courses where I would suggest backing up a set of tees versus driving through the fairway on doglegs routinely.
Tommy
I was not informed of an outing taking place just before our tee time. It took 6 hours to play 18 holes and the staff did nothing to speed up the players in front of us. Totally uncalled for. May never play Arrowhead again.
Ron
Mid handicappers from the uk. Played all 27 holes. The cypress 9 proving to be the most tricky out of the other 2 nines. Quite an eventful round with all 27 holes proving to be a test with some great approach shots and testing tee shots. Placement rather than power works well on this course. Took on the par 3 challenge and just missed out on doubling my money. Greens ran true and tees in great condition. Only downside for me was being bitten by a dog which ran onto the course from the inter coastal waterway but dont let that put you off this great track.
Michel
(Liked the) layout, nature.
Bernie
Course is always in super condition.
Jerry
Played all three courses. Very good. Nice to play a course in March that is all green.
Pat
Was wet from rain and played very tough.
Timothy
Always a great time and a fair price. We played on a very cold day and had the course to ourselves. Love the course.
Bill
One of my favorites.
Wayne
Outstanding.
John
Good.
Mike
OK.
Pierce
Good experience.
Jim
Our absolute favorite course in MB.
Dave
Probably the most beautiful course we have ever played in Myrtle Beach. Great layout and the greens were in great shape.
Michael
Starter should have used more common sense in pairing us with other twosome consisting of a man with Parkinson's and his wife who had little or no golfing ability.
Nicholas
Nice course. Well maintained.
Randy
Excellent conditions and friendly staff.
Brett
All good.
Kevin
I have played this particular course several times over the years. This is definitely my favorite course in Myrtle Beach. Each time has been a wonderful experience. The course is always in terrific condition and the staff members are very friendly and helpful to interact with.
Claude
Its and excellent course; I will return to play there.
Rod/Evie
Liked the track. Greens were slow. Many of the pin placements ridiculous for average golfers.
Doug
Great time.
Dave
Surprisingly better than expected. Good challenging course. Centrally located near downtown.
John
Good for what was needed.
Al
A very good course. Overall experience was excellent. We will play this course again.
Thomas
Very well kept.
Harry
An excellent premium course, especially the Cypress.
Ken
The course was fun and in perfect shape. Great consistent bunkers.
Don
Fantastic.
Robert
Liked everything about course especially the greens. Layout was challenging but fair. Eye apealing course.
Chuck
Excellent layout. A booklet showing each hole would have been very helpful. A lot of shots to blind areas. I used every club in the bag. Would definitely recommend and play again
Michael
Arrowhead's holes are unique and not repititious so each one is a different experience. Great balance of water and sand hazards.
Richard
The course was great!
Paul
Nice golf course in very good condition. A few of the greens had issues but it was a tough winter in S.C. Nice layout with some very nice holes and a good mix of holes. I'll play it again for sure.
Charles
VERY NICE LAYOUT. A BIT OF WINTER DAMAGE BUT OVER ALL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION
Steven
Really good
Lonnie
Great shape very eye appealing enjoyed both rounds will play again next time I'm in area!!
Harry
Great fairways. Well kept. Visually pleasing. Greens need work.
Robert
A great golf course as always
Mike
Beautiful course that was a challenge to play.
Eugene
In my top 3 courses to play in Myrtle Beach !!
Robert
Some greens had algae eaten bare spots.
Pat
Staff was very helpful. They stored our bags while we golfed. Convenient location close to airport. Nice layout.
George
Good value great long par threes if you play from the tips some burned out spots some bad green spots but overall decent
Joseph
Staff very good pro helpful Greens terrible could have stayed in New Jersey and had better green conditions
Jon
This course and particularly the Cypress 9, is a ridiculous course for anyone with a handicap of greater than 9. It's the most difficult course I have ever played and very very unfriendly and unforgiving. I lost 10 golf balls that day and I wasn't the Lone Ranger in our group of 12 golfers. We won't be back.
James
Kind of tricked but in excellent condition
Charles
We enjoyed the course It was in very good condition
Tony
By far the best golf experience on this trip!
Tom
A favorite of all of the guys in the group. We play it at least once a year. Probably will play it twice next year!
Brent
Course was effected by the storms and cold weather. Greens were in poor condition. Fairways were reasonable. Attendants and Starter were very good.
Larry
Another one of my favourite golf courses.
Mark
Beautiful course in immaculate condition. However Ray must of had a tough day prior to designing some of those Cyprus holes, very tough.
Bill
Very good shape for March. Tough course if you don't hit the ball petty straight. Lots of water.
Doug
Enjoyed the layout of the course with many challenging holes. Will certainly play again especially now that we are familiar with the course.
Eric
The course was in really good shape. We have played this course in past years and it doesn't disappoint. A really good course especially for the value. All three nines have plenty of water and in some cases you need to hit over it twice. The fairways are fair, but tree's come into play if you are wayward. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were in great shape. Can't say enough, Arrowhead has always been a favorite and after this round it remains so. Finally, the staff was great. Friendly, helpful, and the rangers kept things moving.
Debbie
Will play it again...Cypress should be named Lakes and Lakes named Cypress...lost a few balls on Cypress but still enjoyed the beautiful surroundings...
Timothy
We played on 2/15/14, two days after the ice storm. The crews were out working to clean up the course to make it playable. They had done a lot of work the day before and it made the course playable if you could deal with 25 to 30 mph winds and still lots of wet spots, even on the tees. We still had a good time and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The description you see, hidden gem is accurate. One of my favorite courses at Myrtle. Will look forward to another round.
Lyle
It was one of the best we played! and played all 27 holes. Beautiful Course and well maintained!!
Stephen
A terrific course, well laid out and challenging. Greens must have a stimp of about 50, way too fast for the average player. Would still play again, though.
Mary
Always enjoy playing at arrowhead, the course is great and the staff friendly. Very welcoming.
Jerry
This was my first time at Arrowhead..... I look forward playing it again next year
Jim
Lots of water, very much a target golf course lots of layups, tough if you don't know where you want to be. Many blind tee shots! Not a first day course.
James
This was a fun course to play. Required shot making skills not just the ability to hit long shots. Challenging, but fair to play.
Fran
Greens were reachable for older guys and the women. People were friendly.
Barry
Always in good condition and best and closest to the airport for golf on the way in or out of town
Greg
Back 9 especially had some scenic and interestingly designed holes. Overall and enjoyable course to play
Ron
This was the groups favorite course. We always enjoy playing here due the the overall condition and the fantastic sights. No hole is similar. Definite replay.
Roger
Course was ok
James
Course was nice and moved smoothly while we were there. Complimentary range balls were great to loosen up after our multiple hour drives. Reservation got crossed up (we had 8 but only 4 were on the reservation they had), but it was straightened out without much difficulty. Location of the course (on our way into town) and quality make it likely that we will play here again.
Dave
Variation in holes, green complexes and over all aesthetics.
Bill
Rain did not stop us from playing. Course remained very playable and fun.
Charles
Greens were perfect
Jong
Played 5/16. The Cypress course is a great layout and conditions were very good except some dead spots on the greens. Some dead spots were very large. Lakes course was in very good shape. Greens were very nice for this 9. Would play Waterway and Lakes next time. Avoid Cypress until greens are fixed.
John
The course was in fine shape, especially considering the amount of rain that had fallen. The biggest complaint I have is that the people in the Pro Shop and attendants/starters were rude and not helpful at all. Additionally, the pace of play was terrible. More than 5 1/2 hours. I would like to have had a course map before playing. It would have made the playing experience better.
Jon
If you only play 18 - Avoid the Cypress course. Cypress has a lot of neglect and ugly par 3s. Waterway is the most impressive and the best maintained 9 holes on the property, Lakes is also very well maintained and a great experience to play.
Dave
Course was in very good condition and it's a great layout. We would definitely come back
Craig
A nice course with a friendly and helpful staff. The course was in very nice shape and was a fun course to play. We were able to play the third nine after completing our round which really made a nice day. I would definitely play this course again.
Mike
Course was very plush with good rough. Lots of character!
William
I had a great time playing this course. It was in great shape and the staff was very helpful
Doug
Very challenging. Unique layout with lots of water. Greens had just been sanded which made them extremely fast.
Rick
Tees and green somewhat beat-up Disappointed in condition of course.
Charles
Challenging, short course, club selection important. Would play again
Frank
Liked course design, especially the par fives but the sand traps were in terrible shape.
Jong
Played 3/1/13. Course was in good condition. Fairways were a little thin. Play was a little slow. Greens rolled well. Have played several times and enjoyed Cypress and Waterway. Range balls and lunch was a plus. Very good staff. Conditions for the time of year was very good. Always enjoy playing here and will come back.
Tom
Not the same conditioned course that I played just 3 short years ago. I know it's been a cold spring but.....
Stan
I think the course did a bad thing by cutting the rough so low. It made a hard course even harder and definitely slowed play. I would have to think very hard before I would play again
Richard
We've played 13 different courses up to date this month and Arrowhead has to be the best. Everything is green on this course, no dormant grass like some more renowned courses.
Hank
Great layout, free balls to hit on range, and challenging. Bit pricy but they advertised a $59 replay rate if you play again within 7 days.
Jerry
Hard to believe but we had a 1 1/2 hour frost delay on 3/15. Cart staff and pro shop did a great job trying to organize the start up and keep everyone happy. Course is nice and green and in very good condition for March. Will be back.
Molla
The course was interesting and challenging. We played Waterway-Cypress and it was a good combo. However, we waited at least ten minutes on every hole until we got to 16. We were behind Golf Academy competitors who were in medalist play. It was incredibly frustrating and was one of the longest rounds of golf we have ever played, even in tournaments. The staff just made a lot of excuses. Hate to travel over a thousand miles and then spend so much time waiting to hit and then have the pro staff just shrug their shoulders. At least they could have given us a free ball marker or something! We even played on a Monday! Either book really early or really late so it doesn't happen to you.
Matt
Pace of play was slow, not moving golfers along. Spent a lot of time on the tee boxes waiting for the groups ahead of us.
Joseph
One of my favorites, and now that I shot my first hole in one on this course, ( Waterway hole ##3) it is my all time favorite :) Greens were very challenging and fast. Very difficult to play if you missed the fairway, ground was hard, therefore made it difficult to elevate the ball. The setting is very appealing to the eye and makes for a very enjoyable round. If fact we played 36 that day. Great time, great course.
Michael
Used to be one of my favorite courses
Bob
Great course, would definetly recommend.
R.W.
Great layout - have to hit the ball.
Robbie
Greens were way too fast. Fairways had spots with little or no grass on them at all! Great weather compensated for this!
Mike
Overall, it was okay. Greens were extremely fast, fairways were very thin in spots. Wouldn't go back and play it on my own.
Timothy
We played on 1/19/13 and found the course is in great shape from tee to green. We did the Cypress and Lakes course and enjoyed the layout very much. It's a bit of target golf so be warned. The grill was a little sparse this time of year with dogs and sandwiches. I will definitely return.
Arthur
Would have liked to have been told that the other 9 holes were closed as we were told when we booked the tee times that we were going to playing all 27 holes that day.
Corey
Alot of water. :)
Shayne
The course was fantastic and we really enjoyed playing it. The only complaint I have is that we had a free lunch voucher with 2 beers or sodas. After our round we were informed that the grill was closed at 3 p.m. and that they don't offer the free beers. The lady at the bar was very accommodating and gave us some pulled pork sandwiches (which wasn't on the menu at that time for us) and a beer. Thank you to her for her great service.
Andre
Great.
David
Pretty course, but high handicap golfers will get beat up on Cypress 9! Very tough track.
Danny
The greens were too fast. It was like putting on ice.
Timothy
Practice range in good condition; we played it our first day of 5 day stay and I think it was a good course overall; ending each 9 we played on par 5's that were reachable; made for fun finishes to the side.
Gary
Played all 27 holes...very nice layout...pro shop very courteous.
Don
Great layout.
Joe
We especially liked the Cypress 9 holes. Overall the design with water playing a factor was excellent. Excellent course. Great replay price.
Don
The starter was rude and curt. The clubhouse attendants were very nice and cooperative.
John
Very nice course. We played Cypress.
Jack
Very tough as I am a 12 handicap.
Ross
Too much out of bounds, outside of that a nice course.
Gord/Elaine
Exceptional.
Charles
Really enjoyed Arrowhead's 3 - 9-hole courses...
Steve
Every player's favorite.
Bob
Excellent overall.
Bob
The Golf Pro was especially accommodating to our group.
Tom/Phyllis
We enjoyed it.
Thomas
It is a very interesting and challenging course,. Very pretty - took lots of pictures. I would like to play it again with the hope of playing it better and smarter! Don't remember the hole (I think it was the 2nd par 3) was my favorite - mainly because I had a birdie on it!
Jim
The layout was great.
Danielle
Liked: Very good condition. Poor hospitality.
Russ
We liked it very much.
Trula
This course is always awesome. Been coming to Myrtle Beach for 10 years and this is one of the courses that someone in our group will always request when making the reservations.
David
Nice course. Really enjoyed playing this course. We will definitely play this course again the next time we're in MB.
Chuck
This is a great course for seniors. I have always enjoyed playing this course.
Brian
The Lakes Course at Arrowhead was my second favorite course on the trip.
Riley
Great course we loved it.
Bill
Nice course - challenging. Fun.
Randy
Great conditions and layout. Will return on a future trip.
Scott
This course was very tricky and challenging. And because we had no large groups to fight we finished in a very reasonable time. And we had a great time even if some of us didn't score as well as we wanted.
Don
Challenging greens, interesting holes.
Joe
Great layout, fantastic conditions, very picturesque (especially the Cypress side). Challenging but very fair.
David
Wonderful course. Started on the Cyprus course and found the first couple of holes pretty tough for opening holes! Would play again for sure.
Gerald
Having 3 nines makes the opportunity to play beyond 9 holes a plus. The staff handled a weather delay mid-round very well as the course emptied into the grille.
Tim
Nice staff but felt pushed to finish afternoon round. Clubhouse was closed upon completion of round so entire golf experience was not allowed. Suggest a.m. golf for the complete package.
Andy
Good challenging course in excellent condition. We will play it again.
Edwin
(Liked the) staff.
Mickey
Great golfing experience.
Edward
Always a fun day at Arrowhead.
Steven
Nice course, but was cart-path-only. Felt maybe only 4 or 5 holes on the course should have been cart-path-only.
Bruno
Very challenging, fair course.
James
Beautiful course, highly recommended.
Ron
Great course and great service. You get range balls with your greens fees (I feel all courses should do this) and they are helpful and get you to your tee on time. The course is exceptional, with lots of flowers and landscaping. The tees, fairways, and greens are well manicured and the tees, fairways, and roughs are lush and a pleasure to hit out of. The greens roll well and are also green and thick. The course is 27 challenging holes and I recommend playing them all. The course has many hazards, sand, and water that needs to be avoided and you don't need a driver on every hole. I would rank Arrowhead in the top five in Myrtle Beach and I play a lot of golf here throughout the year.
Jarrod
Excellent, nice layout, very challenging.
Joe
Driving range balls included in warm up.
Chris
We played the course for the first time and were very impressed. Played all 27 holes and, wow, was the course in great shape and the small details made it look really nice. It is a short course for sure, wished I could have convinced the group to play from the back tee as many a shot went thru the fairway into water or OB but that was fine because it was such a nice day and a great course. I have nothing to bad to say about this facility but that Ray Floyd must not hit a very long ball because it's not set up for a driver off most tees if you bomb the ball. Lesson learned for next time. You got me, Ray.
C
We enjoyed the experience.
Albert
Short course and needed to put quite a few hazards to make it challenging. Probably will not play again. Very pricey.
Rob
Very good course.
Peter
Always in good shape.
Chuck
Fantastic course, one of my favorites this year.
Ken
Loved playing this course.
Curtis
This was one of the best courses I played all week. The course was in great condition and everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend this course.
Jim
Well maintain and run, good driving range (free).
David
For the price it was an excellent course. Green grass all along the course and even up to the cart paths.
Chris
Very friendly staff, good layout.
Steve
Great condition. Fast greens. Needed the free range balls to warm up. Best condition of the courses we played, especially the sand traps. Too bad so many houses around although they shouldn't come into play. Staff was friendly and professional. Would recommend.
Stephen
I enjoyed that the course made you think about ball placement.
Alan
Layout was great. Overall nice experience and would definitly play again. Compared to the rest of the course, greens were so-so.
Mike
Challenging but fun course. I am a 15 handicap and enjoyed the layout. Course was in great condition.
Jong
Played 4/11. Played Cypress/Lakes. Lots of water. Tough course. Not a driver-friendly course. Need to play 3W to score well. Course was in pretty good shape. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were pretty good, not perfect, but pretty good. Girl in grill was nice and staff in pro shop were helpful. Would play here again.
Darren
Played it (April 4, 2012). Pro shop was very accommodating. Great practice area, complimentary range balls a nice touch. Fairways very good, little rough. Greens ran very good, & were very receptive. We tended to over-read the breaks here. Course has some great Par 3s & Par 5s (we played all 27 holes). Quite a few doglegs. You better be hitting your tee shots well, or you could be in for a long day (especially from the Blues). We'll definitely be back.
Amine
Staff was very accommodating. Fairways were excellent.
David
Scheduled 27 holes got rained out after 9 holes and were offered just 9-hole rain check. Said it was because of special. I don't care. Pay for 27, play 9; rain check should have been for 18. Kind of rude about it too! Nice, short track.
Dan
Great course. Cart girl was not too friendly though.
Jeremy
Very well maintained all around. Great service. Course well laid out.
Roy
Bathrooms on course good! More female friendly.
Marcia
Enjoyable experience.
Timothy
Played on 2/17/12 and had a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course is well manicured. I would recommend this course. The greens are painted and very fast. The Lakes course plays easy but the Waterway makes up for any easy front nine you have.
Paul
New to Myrtle Beach, would like to try more courses. This one had a little too much water for me, lost too many balls.
Rene
Greens were fast, but fair. Layout is challenging, have to think off the tee. Will play again.
Scott
Great from the pro shop check in to starter, course was in excellent shape from greens to fairways. Definitely would play again.
William
The course was in very good condition although the greens were very firm. Windy conditions make this course nearly unplayable from the back tees. The starter was very friendly and helpful.
David
Slope of greens would be helpful, cart paths were great, a fun course to play.
Daune
Nice course layout.
Jeff
One of my personal favorites.
Tony
(Liked the) overall condition.
Beau
Beautiful course, great condition, great staff and fast greens.
Dan
Everything was great for the time of year, but one thing. I bought a golf shirt that had two threads near the bottom defective. Other than that, everyone loved the course.
Chris
The layout and conditions are second to none with a great balance of challenge and fun.
Paul
My opponent got a hole-in-one.
Don/Sue
Women friendly tees, excellent shape.
Bob
Good course. Great greens.
Michel
(Liked) the layout, the degree of difficulty.
Bob
Great condition. Very beautiful. Well kept.
Lance
Too bad it rained an inch that morning, cart path only made it slow but the course was beautiful.
Bruce
Interesting course, in great condition.
Daniel
Nice course. Would play anytime.
Alan
Played this course a few years ago and still enjoyed it.
Dan
Great condition!
Leonard
A great course!
Jeremy
What a terrific conditioned golf course. Fast greens, well groomed tees and fairways. Great bunkers ... Don't love the layout, but some of the best conditions I have played! I will be back!
Bob
Played previously. Overall experience great.
Norman
We plan on playing this course again.
Paul
Very friendly place to play. Free range balls. 27 interesting holes to play. We call it a keeper and play it every time we go to Myrtle.
George
Well conditioned considering wet weather.
Richard
Great contoured fairways as well as greens.
Robert
Very pretty course.
Donald
Course in great shape and well-maintained.
Todd
It was an excellent course, even though it was too wet because of overnight rains.
Roger
Always get great treatment at Arrowhead.
Ray
Nice track.
Kenny
Great variation of holes to play on all three sides.
William
Course was in great shape and enjoyed the round.
William
Excellent facility and easy to find. Bag drop and check in were efficient and friendly. Course in great shape with easy to follow hole markers between holes. Excellent day and cart girl was around twice and very friendly. I felt the greens needed a little work but were still very good. Definitely would play there again. Worth the price.
Jimmie
Course was in good condition, however play was very slow, waited on every shot.
Jane
Lots of fun.
Brian
Have not played there in years, was very surprised about the better condition it was in.
Dennis
Greens were a little brown on the Cypress course. Love the layout and all the water. Very, very nice course.
Seth
Great staff. Fun layout in good condition. Would play here again in the future.
Tom
The staff was very helpful and extremely nice and helpful. They really made you feel at home. The course was in good shape considering the extreme heat that they had.
Michael
I have played here before and wanted to repeat the prior experience. Keep up the great work.
Paul
Have played several times. Like the layout and tree lined fairways.
L.
Add signage to next hole, at least on holes when further away and having to cross street - we just guessed by following cart path.
Richard
Nice course, but I hate cart-path-only. Greens were very slow. Overall course was in good condition and enjoyed playing. GPS on carts would be helpful, but seems like most courses around here don't have it.
Richard
The fairway condition was outstanding and water comes into play on 17 holes. Course location was difficult to find with overpasses and feeder roads on Hwy. 501.
Scott
Best overall condition of the week.
Bill
Good course that badly needs to be watered. Greens were hard as rocks.
Glenn
Great course, slow play all day ... ugh.
Thomas
Be aware that scorecards have no diagram of holes and no GPS on carts. Easy to get into trouble and lose balls.
Jim
The conditions were excellent. I would like to play again.
Scott
Arrowhead was the best course we played this trip. The staff are top-notch here. The course conditions were as well. Greens and fairways were excellent. The course was in really great shape. We will definitely be playing this course again. I liked that the driving range was included and how laid back the staff were. Also, the gorgeous cart girl was a welcomed distraction to what should have been a better round of golf.
Mike
Challenging course but a lot of fun to play. It was one of my favorite courses of the weekend.
Robert
Superb condition.
Gerald
Pro shop personnel very friendly and helpful. Course in very good shape, I believe the white tees are laid out for mid to high handicap players as it is not overly long but still a nice test.
Federico
Everything was great.
Stephen
Greens were playable, but very firm.
Peter
Always a pleasure to play this course.
William
One of my favorites. Great layout with nice greens.
Eugene
The greens were a bit rough looking, but from recently being worked on I think. I rate this course at the top as any of the 68 I've played in Myrtle Beach.
Art
AH has significantly improved the grasses conditions, since the new greens. The bunkers have not been improved and are now the weakest part of the course. The sand was good, but it wasn't raked in some time and the bunkers are in serious need of edging. AH had country club greens and fairways, with muni bunkers.
Roy
Overall wonderful experience form all staff. The course was in good condition.
Tom
Some very unique holes.
Joel
I had played a previous round before our group arrived and hadn't noticed the play again for $56 sign. When I brought it up to the pro shop during our group round he responded, too bad I didn't mention it two days before (instead of refunding me the $30). I would have even been happy with a pro shop credit!
William
Staff was friendly and on the ball. It was crowded as they had a big group going off. They still managed to get us off early.
James
Arrowhead was in great shape. We had played here years ago and were not impressed. Much better now.
Shawn
Loved the course! I will play it again if I return to Myrtle.
Mike
The courses were in great condition.
Mark
Excellent conditions.
Steve
Course & workers could not have been better.
Rich
The staff made us feel very welcomed. The condition of the course was great. Overall a great experience. We will be back next year.
Louis
Great course. Very scenic and in very good shape. Staff was great.
Greg
27 holes is nice as we can play 2 rounds at one location. Bunkers should be raked at the beginning of the day.
Grasshopper
Was amoung my favorite of 8 played during the week. What can I say about the layout other than during this time of year (we played it March 23rd) and the trees were in bloom and all the holes looked like a painted postcard. The rough on the course was not the typical dormant, dried-out Brillo pad that you find most everywhere else. All rough and fairways were a deep, deep green. The greens were all at a speed that were very consistent. The fairways were also not the typical flat running carpet but rather a lot of rolling hills and some gentle swales to make it more interesting. Just enough water to make you think about shots. Staff was very efficient. Free range balls that were pyramid which should be considered when pricing out the day. Great value and will be adding it to my list next year. I marked the grill low due to them charging me $2.00 for a stale banana.
Anthony
Nice layout. It would have been nice to play these greens when they aren't off-season and dormant.
Arnold
Nice course, a good place to start your spring golfing. Very friendly place, personnel.
Hank
Very nice layout, would like to have played it when the fairways were drier.
Ronald
Would have liked to play all 18 holes, but got rained out after 5. Well laid out with good pin position.
Mick
We played from the blue tees, and should have moved up to the whites as the course is a risk/reward shot maker's course. This early in the year, we were not ready for that. We would have been better prepared knowing the difficulty ahead of time - but the course was outstanding and we plan to play it again next year!! The staff, and layout were fantastic!! Five stars!!
John
Course was gimmicky with short, dogleg par 4's requiring hybrids or a 5 wood off the tee. Greens hard so balls wouldn't spin and hold. The worst of the 3 courses I played and not one I'd play again.
Jason
First time playing this course. Staff was very friendly. Layout is okay. Greens were really good. Fast and smooth.
Mitch
Very playable course. Staff was very friendly and course was in good shape.
Dave
Played here in 2010 and had a great time. Course layout was fun and conditions were good. The staff was excellent and very friendly.
Tom
This is one of two courses I always play.
Lawrence
Since the change of greens the course remains playable year-round. Very nice layout, position golf and a shot maker's course. Can accommodate all levels of golfers. Three nines allows you to mix it up.
Topper
Nothing (we need to know prior to play); we have played it before.
Aleta
Nothing is sticking out as unique.
Roger
Hi. I am a group leader of about 12 men. We come to Myrtle Beach twice a year for a week each trip. We have played about 80 courses in MB. Arrowhead is one of our top 10 courses. We look at the course itself & not so much for other extras. This course is excellent for play & for 3 nines to extend our day. We come to play.
Neil
Enjoyable.
David
Very scenic course. One problem ... fairway mower operator continued to mow in mid-fairway even when we were on the tee in plain sight! This delayed my group by over 5 minutes while waiting for him to clear off the fairway!
Skip
Excellent experience, friendly, good layout, excellent shape.
Colette
Want to let you know how great Jason was with all of us women. So happy and congenial. You have a great employee in him, please let him know it.
Stuart
Nice layout and the greens were the best we played all week.
Darrell
All OK.
Douglas
Nice course overall.
Brad
Wet.
Ric
Everything went to expectation. Pace of play was perfect.
Helen
Lovely course in great condition, friendly staff, would always need to know condition of greens prior to playing.
Brent
Arrowhead's new greens are amazing. The new mini verde greens roll tremendous for summer time on the Grand Strand. They are a little firm right now but it will probably take them another season to fully settle in and really come into there own.
Scott
Great combination of layout, excellent conditions and value. Will play here again.
Russell
Nice course, free range balls ... a cart GPS would have helped here.
Todd
Good length, nice greens and fairways.
Carolyn
Of the courses we played, it was our least favorite. The man at the register was very nice but some of the other staff were not very friendly.
Bill
Great layout, played the Lakes & Waterway nines. Very playable, not real long, a shotmaker's course, so it made for a very enjoyable round. Excellent condition overall, the greens rolled beautifully. Will definitely play here again on the next trip.
Stones
Waterways was a nice layout and in great shape. Cypress was decent but spotty tees and fairways. Would only rebook if our group can play the Lakes/Waterways combo (as we requested but never materialized).
William
Well maintained and a joy to golf.
Tim
The course was in great shape. It was challenging and fun. Recommend it for anyone.
Eric
One of the best.
Steve
Very unique course. Great layout.
John
Interesting use of streams, ponds, banking. Fairways are elevated, if you miss the fairway your drive can easily run down the bankings into the water.
Andy
Well laid out. No homes close to the course.
Donald
Never boring, with many scenic holes. Playable for players of all handicaps.
Mark
Your biggest thing missing in your survey questions is pace of play. In the afternoon at Arrowhead they shoved everyone out on the same 9, stuffed a ton of foursomes out there and the first 9 took 2 hrs. 45 min. Fortunately lots dropped off so I was able to finish 18 (barely in the dark) but the pace of play, lack of a ranger, and no apparent effort on the part of the course to do anything about it was frustrating.
Benoit
Superb course in a fast-food environnment. The course is great but we had to wait 35 minutes between holes 9 and 10 and were sort of pushed to play fast on the front since we were the 7 :30 a.m. tee time. Clearly overbooked last Friday, it took us over 5 hours. Will not play there again on a busy time of the year.
Patrick
The staff was very pleasant and openly thanked us for our business. Nice experience overall.
James
Greens on Lakes were very slow and bumpy, I realize that they were rebuilt last year. Greenas on Waterway were much better but still slow!
William
No complaints - course was in very good shape, staff was friendly and we only had 5 golfers and they let us play as a fivesome which I thought was very nice of them. Would definitely recommend this course to friends/colleagues.
Gary
Excellent course layout, condition was excellent, yardage markers are not always obvious.
Tom
Outstanding value in the heart of the Strand ... A very pleasant surprise. Very scenic course. We played our practice round here ... Could have easily replaced one of our tournament rounds.
Brendan
Loved the course, lots of fun. However it was very busy and was the longest golf day of our trip.
Pete
Very nice course and it was in great shape.
Harold
WOULD PLAY AGAIN
Dennis
no comment
Bob
We knew the fairways, etc. would be wet and they were. That was the only concern.
Matt
Good course ... cold ... we would consider playing this one again.
Thomas
Good first-round course.
Jim
Played just after Christmas '09. Driving range closed. When I called for tee time, was quoted one price, was charged $20 more when I got there 30 mintes later. I left. From what I could see, the course was in good shape.
Jim
Wet. Bare/worn spots on tee boxes.
Jan
We are all older guys, so the short but very nicely laid out holes fit very nicely to our game.
Bob
Played 12-7-09 and it was very wet. Cart path only, but course was in great shape considering. Would play again.
William
I can't say any negative things about my experience, I was playing golf in Myrtle Beach, I enjoyed it and want to do it again, and again, etc ...
Topper
The course was in very good shape for the amount of rain that fell the week prior.
John
Wet, but one of the nicest courses we've played in 20 years of coming to Myrtle Beach.
George
Very nice course that was challenging but playable. Played on 11/13 after 2 days of Tropical Storm Ida rains and found the course in better than expected condition. Staff was welcoming and friendly and made a good first impression, although we only saw the beverage cart twice in 18 holes (second time at the 17th hole). Pace of play good, played Lakes and Waterway in 4 hr 20 min.
Jerry
It was very pleasant.
Thomas
First round was as expected. Course in great shape and fairly close to Long Bay Resort.
John
The Cypress was impressive. The Lakes and Waterway were good.
Kevin
Great ...
Ronnie
Great course in great condition.
Thomas
Good first-day course. Not top-notch but nice.
Guy
Rain.
William
Okay.
Nick
Overall a very nice golf course. Interesting layout with a diverse array of golf holes, elevation changes, and scenery alongside the waterway. Arrowhead is always in very good shape ... You get what you pay for. Complimentary range balls included with greens fees. Definitely worth a visit.
Caleb
Just an average course. I've played quite a few courses in the area and would probably rate it in the no surcharge group of courses. They had the tees pushed way up it seemed and I hit irons off most of the tees. Some holes were crammed into surrounding condos/houses.
Mike
Course was fine.
William
Unfortunately it rained for several hours and the course was soaked.
Richard
Beautiful course. Second time we have played there. Wish the Lakes course would have been available either time.
Joseph
Beautiful course which provided quite a challenge and had good risk/reward options.
Earl
It was a nice outing.
Peter
Very nice place ... would come again.
Lenny
Very well maintained. It was better than I expected.
Christine
The Waterway course was great, but on the turn to the Lakes course we were extremely disappointed. We were unaware that it was in horrible shape but understand that it is being redone. Had we known up front perhaps we would have chosen a different course.
Corey
Great course - hope to play Cypress soon since that side was closed unfortunately.
William
This was my first time to play here. The course conditions where great. The starter and bag attendent was extremely informative and a pleasure to work with. The greens on the Lakes course where great. The course was well marked and very enjoyable to play. This course will go on my must play list for future outings.
Michael
Nice course with excellent conditions. Not real long.
Al
Best course we played in Myrtle Beach
Kathy
This course was one of the tougher ones that I have played. You had to use alot of course management, and couldn't just bomb drivers! Very beautiful courses here. Lush, green, and pace of play was excellent! Will play this course again for sure!!
Barry
course was better than we remembered. Pace was great. will return and recommend to others.
