5 Best Myrtle Beach Bars to Watch March Madness – Outdoors

After a one year hiatus, the NCAA Tournament is poised to return, bringing the type of March Madness we all enjoy back.

The tournament is a social event for many and Myrtle Beach offers golfers in search of a place to watch the big game plenty of options. To make sure we stay vigilant in our continuing fight against the Covd-19 pandemic, here are five bars that offer the opportunity to watch the tournament outside, a win-win for everyone.

Handley’s, located just minutes from Myrtle Beach National, Legends, the Wizard and Man O’War, among many other courses, has long been a local’s favorite. The food is good and a large, covered outdoor patio makes for the perfect place to watch a game. If Coastal Carolina wins the Sun Belt and makes the tourney, Handley’s will be jumping.

— Myrtle Beach’s only “Cajun Bistreaux,” Walk-Ons is located on 501 right beside the Grumpy Monk. The outdoor deck is awesome and the jalapeno jack burger is even better. Walk-Ons opened last summer and you will want to check it out.

— If your group wants to watch the game and enjoy a little music, Tin Roof, located on Ocean Boulevard is the place to go. Overlooking the Atlantic, Tin Roof, an open air bar, always has live music and there are ample TVs to enjoy the game. If you are looking for a menu selection, go with the hot chicken. Carolina Ale House, which is a Dustin Johnson drive from Myrtlewood and Pine Lakes, has covered patios and TVs everywhere. The combination of a central location and a lot of room make Carolina Ale House a popular spot for golfers.

RipTydz is another oceanfront bar that provides an elevated view of the beach and an outdoor deck to watch your bracket get busted. With three levels, there is plenty of room for social distancing and the downtown location is ultra-convenient for golfers staying along Ocean Boulevard. (Pictured Right)

Those aren’t the only venues that offer a place to watch the NCAA Tournament outdoors, but they are our favorites in Myrtle Beach proper.
