Seven Myrtle Beach Layouts Ranked Among America’s Top 200 Resort Courses

Coinciding with the arrival of the new year is the release of the game’s first major rankings list – “Golfweek’s Best 2022: Top 200 Resort Golf Courses in the U.S.”

Not surprisingly, the Myrtle Beach area is well represented on the annual list.

Golfweek, which has hundreds of raters evaluating America’s most acclaimed designs, ranked seven Myrtle Beach golf courses among America’s 200 best resort layouts.

Leading the charge for the Grand Strand were a couple familiar names – Dunes Golf & Beach Club and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (top photo)– but the Golfweek rankings were more a testament to the depth and quality of Myrtle Beach’s course offerings than they were the greatness of an individual layout.

Here is how some of the Grand Strand’s leading layouts ranked among America’s best:

43. Dunes Golf & Beach Club
45. Caledonia Golf & Fish Club
77. True Blue Golf Club
149. Moorland Course at Legends Resort
153. King’s North
175. Dye Club at Barefoot Resort
186. Grande Dunes Resort Course
