The Largest Event of Its Kind Will Return to Myrtle Beach in 2015
More than 900 golfers gathered in Myrtle Beach for the 31st Annual National Retired Military Golf Classic. This year’s Classic was contested at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club, Pine Lakes Country Club and the PineHills Course at Myrtlewood Golf Club.
With a field of over 800 men and 128 women this event is the largest retired military event in the world, and one that the Myrtle Beach holds in high esteem. The men’s golf tournament in Myrtle Beach consists of 72 holes while the women will utilize a 54-hole competition with the courses and foursomes rotated each day.
The annual event is hosted by Oceana Resorts in partnership with National Golf Management Company that owns and manages the host courses.

Tournament Director Terry Brown remarked, “This year’s event was a huge success, a product of great weather, strong participation and some great golf courses. Though no holes-in-one were recorded this year, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the golf and the hospitality. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”
