Meredith Kirk "On the Loose" at Myrtle Beach’s Best Piers

In her latest video installment of “Meredith On the Loose,” Myrtle Beach golf ambassador Meredith Kirk visits three of the Grand Strand’s most popular piers – and tells you why there a must-visit for you and your family the next time you’re in town!

Meredith: First, we’re at Garden City Pier on the south end of Myrtle Beach. This is one of my favorite piers to come to. Why? Well, for starters there are two bars here: one at the end of the pier, and one at the front of the pier. They also have live music here during the summer, and it’s just such a fun place to be. It’s always packed! They also have an arcade, so if you have little ones you can send them there and they’ll have a blast. So you’ve got to come check it out!

Springmaid Pier is centrally located in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Springmaid is actually right across the street from Myrtle Beach International Airport. There are so many fun things to do here! You can surf, paddleboard, kayak, fish on the pier, and they even have a restaurant .

Jack’s Surf Lessons staffer: Springmaid Pier has a lot to offer, especially here at Jack’s Surf Lessons. We do surf lessons, paddleboard tours, kayak tours and rentals. But more than that, there’s fishing, a really good restaurant, and it’s just a really good atmosphere!

Meredith: Oh yeah! Now, this is the life!

Apache Pier in North Myrtle Beach is so cool. It’s massive – one of the longest and biggest piers along the Grand Strand. It’s a very popular place to come to for people who like to fish.

Young male visitor: I had never been to the beach, and I wanted to come here fish and see what I could catch. It’s really pretty here.

Young female visitor: It’s beautiful here, and this is a super-long pier where there’s so much to do!
