Spirit Airlines Twice-Weekly Service Between Akron-Canton and Myrtle Beach to Begin Soon

In case you missed it, Spirit Airlines announced last month that it will begin twice-weekly flight service between the Akron-Canton Airport and the Myrtle Beach International Airport beginning mid-April.

Even during the pandemic, Myrtle Beach has remained a highly traveled destination for Northeast Ohio residents.

“This route has been years in the making,” said Ren Camacho, president and CEO at Akron-Canton. “From tracking local demand to monitoring the increase in leisure travel, we are confident this route matches the needs of our community.”

The new service will run on Thursdays and Sundays departing CAK at 2:27 p.m. arriving at MYR at 4:02 p.m. Return flights depart MYR at 11:55 a.m. arriving at CAK at 1:35 p.m. Sprit Airlines states that more flights may be added based on demand.

One-way flight fares between the two destinations were found on Spirit’s website starting April 15th for $60
