The MyrtleBeachGolfTrips.com Intercollegiate will return to Grande Dunes Resort Course for its third annual playing September 6–8, bringing collegiate golf back to one of the premier public courses in South Carolina.
Hosted by Coastal Carolina University, the 54-hole tournament will feature team and individual competition over three days. The event will again serve as an early-season opportunity for programs from across the country to test their lineups against a strong field on the Roger Rulewich-designed course.
“We are excited to welcome the MyrtleBeachGolfTrips.com Intercollegiate back to Grande Dunes for a third year,” said Tom VanHoogen, PGA, general manager of Grande Dunes Resort Course. “It has quickly become an event our team looks forward to, and we take great pride in providing a championship-caliber experience for the players and coaches.”
Grande Dunes can stretch to 7,600 yards and features wide fairways, bold green complexes and five holes that play along the Intracoastal Waterway. Its combination of length, strategic options and demanding putting surfaces provides a versatile test for some of the nation’s top collegiate players.
“Grande Dunes gives the tournament staff a lot of flexibility in the way the course can be set up,” VanHoogen said. “The players have opportunities to be aggressive, but they also have to make smart decisions and control their approach shots. We believe it is an ideal venue for team and individual competition at this level.”
The 2025 tournament produced memorable finishes in both competitions. Florida Atlantic University erased a four-shot deficit with a final-round score of 14-under par to claim the team championship, while Coastal Carolina junior Jack Lee earned medalist honors at 14-under after leading wire-to-wire.
Lee opened with rounds of 65 and 66 before closing with a 1-under 71 to secure his first collegiate victory by two strokes. Florida Atlantic finished the tournament at 26-under, nine shots ahead of Florida Gulf Coast and Clemson.
