In the latest installment of her “On the Loose” video series, Myrtle Beach golf ambassador Meredith Kirk’s latest stop about town is at Broadway at the Beach – this time, taking on the ropes course and zipline at Soar & Explore, located just outside of WonderWorks. Meredith brought her GoPro camera, too, so you can get a first-hand perspective of the thrills the zipline offers its riders!
Meredith Kirk: Lori, tell us a little bit about Soar & Explore
Lori Lampo, Soar & Explore at WonderWorks: Well, we feature a multi-level, outdoor ropes challenge course that is 40 feet above the water, and it’s made up of more than 3,000 ropes and cables pieced together to create 33 different obstacles for guests to enjoy.
Meredith: Now, is there an age or height restriction in order to explore here?
Lori: There’s no age requirement, but you must be at least 42 inches tall to be able to go up on the course with an adult, or 48 inches tall to go up and explore on your own.
Meredith: Tell me a little bit about this zipline …
Lori: The zipline is a two-way ride over Lake Broadway. So you soar from one tower to another tower on the opposite shore. It’s a 1,000-foot track that’s 50 feet above the water.
Meredith: It’s really cool that you get to go down, and back. It’s almost like you get two rides in one.
Lori: Yes, it’s double the fun!
