Meredith Kirk Joins Dustin Johnson Golf School Staff

As the Dustin Johnson Golf School grows its presence in the Myrtle Beach market, it does so with the appointment of a familiar name to its instructional ranks.

Meredith Kirk, Golf Magazine’s 2015 Innovator of the Year and recognized by Golf Digest as among the nation’s best young teachers, will serve as a Lead Instructor at the school’s TPC Myrtle Beach facility beginning January 1, 2016.

Said Meredith, “I am honored to join the Dustin Johnson Golf School and continue my passion for teaching the game of golf. The Dustin Johnson Golf School has become one of the most recognized golf schools in the country, and I couldn’t be more proud to join their team.”

Meredith’s teaching credentials include 17 years of working with top LPGA and PGA instructors. A graduate of Coastal Carolina, she has been recognized by Golf Digest as among the country’s “Best Golf Teachers Under 40,” and as the third-ranked instructor in South Carolina in its “Best Teachers” grouping.

“We are excited to attract a talented instructor like Meredith to our team” said Allen Terrell, Director of Coaching/Managing Partner of the Dustin Johnson Golf School. “Her addition to our team gives us the best staff of instructors in South Carolina. She brings excitement, passion and a love for the game of golf, and will help us to our goal of becoming the top destination for game development in the southeast.”

Meredith’s love of teaching has fueled her desire to get more kids involved in the game. In 2015 Golf Magazine named her its Innovator of the Year after she launched the Junior Golf Exchange (JGE), a non-profit organization that helps junior golfers under the age of 14 received fitted golf equipment at no cost to the children’s families. To bring heightened attention to this effort, Meredith chose JGE as her charitable platform in pursuing – and winning – the 2014 Mrs. South Carolina America pageant.
