Barstool Classic’s 2022 Tournament Schedule To Tee-Off At Grande Dunes Resort Club

The Resort Club at Grande Dunes, one of Myrtle Beach’s premier layouts, will host the opening event of the 2022 Barstool Classic, a nationwide series of tournaments run by one of America’s most popular media companies.

Grande Dunes will host the Barstool Classic on March 21, welcoming Riggs, the Barstool Classic “Commissioner,” and tournament players for a day of competition and revelry.

The 18-hole, two-man team format will be a handicapped event with the top four teams qualifying to compete in the Barstool Classic Championship this November in Scottsdale, Az. The winners of the Barstool Classic Championship will receive $10,000 and have their names etched on the coveted Commissioner’s Cup.

Entry into the qualifying event at Grande Dunes is $800 per team and will include breakfast, lunch, Truly Hard Seltzer all day, the presence of the Commissioner, and more. Barstool Sports has emerged as one of the nation’s leading media brands, and its golf coverage, spearheaded by Fore Play podcast hosts Trent, Riggs, Frankie and Lurch, has helped lead the way.

Grande Dunes, home to five holes that play along the Intracoastal Waterway, has been ranked among America’s top 100 public courses and it’s one of Myrtle Beach’s most sought after tee times. The Roger Rulewich design features wide fairways and some of the area’s biggest greens, an unforgettable combination.

While Grande Dunes is strong throughout, the holes along the waterway attract much of the attention, none more so than the par 3 14th, where an elevated tee plays to a green buffeted by the Intracoastal. It’s one of the most dramatic tee shots along the Myrtle Beach golf scene.

The stunning visuals and heroic shots, combined with one of the area’s nicest clubhouses, make Grande Dunes an ideal venue to begin Barstool’s 2022 tournament schedule. For that matter, Myrtle Beach, with its abundant nightlife, is the perfect host destination for the event.
