Instead of gripping all the way at the top, try choking down an inch or two on the club. We are back here at TPC Myrtle Beach and I want to give you a tip for hybrids. I'm often asked, how do you control a hybrid? Well, I'm getting ready to show you [music] one thing that we need to keep in mind about hybrids is that they [music] are built for maximum distance. Sometimes we try to create distance by maybe coming too far up on the grip. I see some students sometimes that their hands are kind of coming off like that. And that's a big no no because what happens is you're going to lose control of the face and you're [music] going to have inconsistent strikes with the ball. So what I want you to do is I actually want you to choke down on your hybrid an inch or two. If you're struggling with it, if you're out in the course and you're not striking the ball well, you can't control it, choke down. So, I'm going to go ahead and set up here. I'm going to choke down on the club. And this is going to give me definitely more control and a better strike. So, let's see what I can do here. Yeah, that felt really good. Now, one thing I want to mention, if you choke down, the only side effect that you may not like is you may possibly lose a few yards.
