Don’t Pack for Your Myrtle Beach Golf Trip Without These Essentials

Packing for a golf trip is typically a last-minute scramble for most of us, so there are a lot of “small things” that don’t make it into the car. But the little things matter, and we want to ensure you are prepared for every situation on your next Myrtle Beach golf trip.

Consider this your partial packing list for a trip to the game’s most popular destination.

A light jacket or quarter-zip
Myrtle Beach’s autumn weather is nearly perfect, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and little to no humidity. But with overnight lows in the 60s, don’t forget to pack a pullover. You aren’t going to be cold, but it’s nice to have a quarter-zip on a 65-degree morning.

Sunscreen (Seriously)
Yes, we can remind you to bring a pullover and sunscreen for use on the same day. Just because you aren’t hot on a 75-degree day, that doesn’t mean you can’t get sunburned. You may not need the SPF 50, but make sure you pack sun protection.

A Laundry Bag (Trust Us)
If you don’t have a laundry bag, get one and bring it to Myrtle Beach. It’s very convenient to have a place to immediately put your dirty clothes and keep them separate from tomorrow’s crisp, clean outfit. The laundry bag won’t impact a single thing on the course, but it’s nice to have.

The Easy-to-Forget Essentials
When the gang is waiting and you are scrambling to get your suitcase and golf bag in the car, it’s easy to walk out and forget two essentials – golf balls and tees. Think I’m kidding? Golf balls are among the biggest sellers in any pro shop, and that’s okay, but life is always a little better if you aren’t forced to buy an emergency dozen.

A Good Attitude Goes a Long Way
So, this is an intangible, but make sure you pack the proper attitude. Your enjoyment of the trip isn’t based solely on how you play. Whether you are striping the ball or suddenly can’t hit it straight, remember you are here to have a good time.

Extra HatsKings North
One of the easiest things to forget is a hat beyond the one you have on your head. After four rounds, you will want a new lid, so make sure you pack extra hats.

Pack an Extra Glove (or Two)
This one should be easy, but it’s not hard to walk out the door without the new glove you purchased, so double-check.

Packing smart doesn’t guarantee you’ll hit every fairway, but it’ll definitely make the trip smoother. Take five extra minutes, double check the small stuff, and enjoy a Myrtle Beach golf trip.
