5 Great Places to Watch the Masters in Myrtle Beach

The Masters is golf’s most famous tournament, and it also coincides with one of the busiest weekends on Myrtle Beach’s spring golf calendar. If your trip to the Golf Capital of the World happens to line up with the annual chase for the game’s most famous green jacket, you’re going to need a good place to watch.

There are plenty of options, but these are our five favorite places to watch the Masters in Myrtle Beach.

Pine Lakes Tavern
If you’re staying in Myrtle Beach proper, Pine Lakes Tavern is the place to go. An elevated bar, a line of TVs, and a quality menu make it an easy choice. The house-made mozzarella wedges are a winner, and the cheesesteak is always a good decision. Throw in live music later in the evening, and PLT is an ideal spot to settle in for Masters Saturday.

Handley’s Pub & Grub
Golfers typically trust the opinions of locals, and if you’re one of them, Handley’s Pub & Grub deserves to be high on your Masters viewing list. With TVs at every booth, a strong beer selection, and food that exceeds anything they’re serving on the grounds at Augusta, it’s worth the trip. Located in Carolina Forest just off Highway 501, Handley’s is easy to reach and even easier to like.

King Street Grille
Most visiting golfers never make it to Market Common, the town-center-style development built on the site of the former Air Force base, but watching the Masters at King Street Grille is a good reason to change that. The location is excellent, the atmosphere is lively, and the Spanish Fly burger – topped with Southwest seasonings, sausage, jalapeños, and pepper jack cheese – is one of the Grand Strand’s best burgers. Dead Dog SaloonDead Dog Saloon
Dead Dog Saloon isn’t a traditional sports bar, but on a beautiful April afternoon, what could be better than watching the Masters from an outdoor bar overlooking Murrells Inlet? Not much. Dead Dog’s hush puppies are as memorable as the views, and the rest of the menu is equally good. If your group is playing on the South End, this place should be on your short list.

Dagwood’s Deli & Sports Bar
A trip to Dagwood’s is always a good idea, but it’s a great one during the Masters, especially if you are looking for a North Myrtle Beach haunt. Located just north of Barefoot Resort, Dagwood’s is new, full of TVs, and they still serve the best sandwiches along the Grand Strand.

The good news is these five are only the beginning. Myrtle Beach has plenty of places to watch the Masters, giving golf groups a surplus when it’s time to watch the Masters.
