Good time

This was a very nice course with a great layout. The fairways and greens were great.

I like this course, I like the layout. I have also played it many, many times in the past. This time was the first time I have played it since last Spring, and I was quite disappointed. Perhaps it was the aftermath of Hurricane Florence a few weeks earlier, but I found the course to be quite "rough". Tee boxes and fairways didn't appear to be mowed, and the greens were spotty, and about as slow as I can ever remember them. The holes on the green appear to not have been changed in many days as the sides were starting to "cave" in. My final complaint was that while our group was there on time, the starter did not load our bags onto carts until about 5 minutes before our tee time even though they had plenty of carts sitting there for use. This left our group scratching our butts wondering if they were ever going to send us out. As stated earlier, I really like this course, but I think they need to step up there game plan to keep the golfers coming.

Course has been around a long time & is showing it's age. Conditions were ok at best but you can play better conditioned course's for around the same money. Par 3's are strong on this course even from the Gold Tees. Staff was also very friendly.

I have always liked this course. One of the old timers from Myrtle Beach. This year greens and tee boxes are good, but fairways are a bit sparse. I was told that they over seeded, but had problems with either the product or Hurricane Mathew--not sure which. Like many of the course here in MB, their cart paths could use some repair.

Pleasant course to play, solid old style design with wide fairways and water more esthetic than a factor in the game but the course and facility in my opinion are getting tired. Tee box not that great on many holes and some greens showed signs of trouble. One issue I had was with the scheduling, I had the first available tee time of 7 AM (booked as a single) but once I paid and got in the direction of the first tee I noticed people in the process of teeing off (3 some)...the starter told me that those were his regulars. So be cautious...it does not matter what tee time you have you might have regulars have the right away on this one and the worse is that they would not even let me trough even if I was playing solo.

Back nine outstanding condition. Front side fairways a little sparse. All in all a pleasant round and good experience. Staff was terrific.

The staff made us feel like we were regulars and the course was in really good shape. Even though there was plenty of dew on the grass, the balls still rolled well and we all had a great day.

Nice course. Some tees a bit rough but overall I enjoyed this course. Fairways are generous mostly and water comes into play on some holes. Only complaint is it took 5 hours and no one seems to be monitoring it. Guess it has more to do anymore with upsetting people and not wanting to discourage them from coming back. Seems that is the trend now. Just sat back and enjoyed the day when waiting. I'd definitely return.

Great fun course. Staff is very friendly. Pro shop has a lot of clothes at great prices. The course is in great shape considering all the hot weather as of late. Had the best hot dog at the turn. Overall just Fun Fun Fun.

Great experience! Staff very friendly, course is very good condition. Very wide fairways made it enjoyable for my group who are all shoot in the 80's and 90's. Great value for the price.

First group off the tee and nothing was said to us about using both sets of tees. Finished the front nine and was told there would be a 45 minute wait before we could tee off on the back nine. Never was offered to play through like most courses do for 18 hole players. I left after 9 holes, very poor communication.

Favorite hole is #14 - but all are great.

Not a difficult course - it's a good place to play to knock off the rust of the winter layoff. The fairways, tees, and greens were in good shape. While it's not as aesthetically pretty as more expensive courses, it played well. We will pay again.

I enjoyed playing Beachwood. This is a course that I would like to play first when playing four days. This is a great course for golfers of all handicaps.

I played with my wife who is new to golf. This was her 4th game so we weren't playing fast. Regardless we were waiting at almost every tee for 5 minutes or so. There was a twosome ahead of us and a five some ahead of them. We managed to play through the group of five but then ran into a group of six. That's right, three carts and six players. No Marshall's in sight. Really slow and really amazing. I've never seen that before. The course is in good shape except a number of the ladies tees which are not flat. Not sure we will return given the slow play caused by the 'supersized' foursomes.

Outstanding course, Fairways and Greens were in great condition. The only problem was all the rain that Myrtle Beach received in the past 2 days. Cart Path only. Awesome course to play. We usually play 2-3 times during vacation week.

Seems I little run down not up to the conditions of other courses in the area

Played 2 real high end courses prior to Beachwood to keep cost reasonable. Course is decent, knew what course was and not to expect a lot. Very convenient to people staying in North MB. Tee boxes pretty chewed up.

What a friendly, enjoyable course at a very good price. We golfed here on Christmas Day and the staff was fabulous. It was enjoyable and a good value. It was especially friendly for women golfers. The staff were fabulous and helpful.

It was my first visit to the area in many years and didn't know where to play. Looking at mbgolf.com helped me choose Beachwood because of the fair rates and the overall look of the course online. Playing was not a disappointment, either. The course was laid out nicely, had a very nice flow hole to hole and wasn't overly hard to play for average players. All of the staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely return someday.

Beachwood has always been a favorite of ours. It is fun and reasonably priced.

Good public course; the greens were slow but true. I would definitely play again and would recommend it to friends.

Slow greens.

This course always has the best staff. Very pleasant and friendly. For the money it's a great value, but with all courses at MB, slow play detracts from the round. It took us almost 5 hours to play. But when we mentioned this to the ranger, to his credit, he did go out on the course and speed a couple of very slow groups up. We'll play here again!

Very satisfied with the course and play. I'll replay this course on my next vacation.

Able to drive fairways.

Played an afternoon round in August. A classic low-end Myrtle Beach course. Rate was decent and staff were nice. Wouldn't play as part of a golf package with the guys but it did the trick as a quick round by myself while vacationing with the family.

Played this a few times this month of October, found the course overall good, except greens were very slow and rough. Good tees, Generous fairways, nice value. Staff was helpful and courteous.

Great course for a relaxing round even with your C game. Friendly staff, great value and accommodating to singles.

The course was nice but the greens were extremely slow. Our tee time was booked for 9:30. When we arrived, we were told we were late. The attendant that took our bags from the car and got our cart was great. But when we went to check in at the pro shop we were informed again of being late. We arrived at 9:10. I showed the pro shop our confirmation for 9:30 and he said we don't have any 9:30 tee times. We got to play, but I really didn't like their attitude since we really weren't late. The greens were extremely slow. Unlike any I have ever played on except for a course in Florida after a hurricane and they hadn't been able to get out on the course to work it. But since we were there, they let us play for free. Probably won't play here again.

Everything went well.

Played this course several times and it's still one of the best for the value. It doesn't receive a lot of hype but its greens were in great shape, and the faiways were also in good condition. We'll be back.

Will book again.
