In discussing the new par four 11th at King’s North, Brandon Johnson highlights how subtle changes can make a lasting impact. He reshaped the bunkering, adding a bold front-left cross bunker and a more engaged right greenside bunker that now frames the green dramatically. The removal of mounding behind the putting surface allows the green to sit naturally on grade, showcasing its contours and creating a cleaner, more inviting backdrop. The result is a hole that feels simple yet sophisticated, rewarding both precision and appreciation for thoughtful design.

think a 11 is, I call it maybe a little quiet moment on the golf course. I think it's a really solid golf hole. And so what I saw was maybe an opportunity to just highlight some of the things that were already there. Made a few tweaks to the bunkers. There's a front left bunker that's now very, very prominent. It's short of the green.
kind of a cross bunker and then the right green side bunker engages the green a little bit more. It's certainly much more visually in your face. Whereas before you really didn't see that other bunker. And then that green is relatively the same. But by removing all of those mounds behind the green, the Levin green sits down low on ground and on grade.
And I really like it. There's some beautiful subtle contours around the green and in the green.
