Golfers won’t be the only people enjoying venerable Myrtlewood Golf Club this summer. On Thursday, July 14, Myrtlewood will host the first “Waterway Live,” a family-friendly event series featuring live music, food trucks, activities for children, and stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway.
The event will run from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and admission will be free. Three Peace Band, a popular Florence-based ensemble that plays classic rock and Motown hits, will headline the entertainment.
Mr. Softie and Benito’s – Wood Fire Pizza will lead the contingent of food trucks, and Better Brands will be on-hand to serve craft beer. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to relax in, listen to music, and dance.
Waterway Live festivities will overlook the Intracoastal, highlighting the property’s beauty.
“Everyone knows about Myrtlewood’s great golf but the property has so much more to offer,” said Karen Altman, director of marketing for Founders Group International. “There isn’t a restaurant along the Grand Strand with better views of the Intracoastal, and Waterway Live will allow people to enjoy great live music and food along with those unforgettable vistas.”
Waterway Live will run through the fall.
Long one of the area’s best multi-course golf facilities, Myrtlewood is home to the Palmetto and PineHills courses, both of which have undergone greens and bunker renovation projects in recent years, allowing them to maintain their popularity in the game’s most popular market.
