Five-Time Major Champion Adds Firepower to Myrtle Beach Classic Field

The PGA Tour’s OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic has already established itself as a showcase for rising stars. In 2026, it’s adding one of the game’s biggest names to the mix.

Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka is in the field for the third annual Myrtle Beach Classic, set for May 7–11 at the historic Dunes Golf & Beach Club.

Koepka, a three-time PGA Champion and two-time U.S. Open winner, returned to the PGA Tour for the 2026 season and will arrive in Myrtle Beach with four top 20 finishes in his last five stroke play starts.

The Dunes Club, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design that has drawn rave reviews from Tour players, will provide a fitting test ahead of the following week’s PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club. Dunes Club’s undulating greens and classic layout demand precision and a hot putter, qualities that will also be at a premium at Aronimink.

Koepka, who has battled injuries in recent years, is one of the game’s best big event players, and coming off a 12th-place finish at last month’s Masters, he could be poised to earn his 10th PGA Tour victory in Myrtle Beach.

“Having Brooks Koepka commit to the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic is a tremendous moment for our tournament and our community,” said Darren Nelson, tournament director. “He’s one of the most accomplished players of his generation, and his presence speaks to the continued momentum of this event on the PGA TOUR calendar.”

The Myrtle Beach Classic has already proven to be a launching pad, with Chris Gotterup (2024) and Ryan Fox (2025) using victories here to elevate their profiles, a trend Koepka would surely like to continue.

In addition to four rounds of tournament play and Friday (Beach Boys) and Saturday (Julio and the Saltines) night concerts, the Myrtle Beach Classic will also include a star-studded celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday. Among the big names scheduled to participate are reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris, tennis legend John McEnroe and actor Kurt Russell.

Tickets for the Myrtle Beach Classic are available online.
