Celebrities Head to Myrtle Beach for 30th Monday After the Masters

Actors, athletes, celebrities and musicians will descend on Myrtle Beach, April 13 for the 30th playing of the Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am, one of golf’s longest running and most successful charity events.

Darius Rucker and his bandmates – Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, Mark Bryan and Dean Felber – will once again host the event at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Course, with play beginning at 10 a.m.

While much of the emphasis will be on the good times the event provides for players and fans, the guys from Hootie & the Blowfish have never lost sight of the event’s primary mission – raising money for charity.

Proceeds from the Monday After the Masters benefit the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, which supports educational initiatives for children in South Carolina, as well as the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation through a fully funded endowment. Since its inception in 1994, the event has raised nearly $10 million for charity.

This year’s field will again feature a mix of sports and entertainment stars, including World Series champion and South Carolina Gamecock Jackie Bradley Jr., Yankees legend Bernie Williams, NFL standout Steve Smith Jr., rapper Big Daddy Kane, and Pro Football Hall of Famer Sterling Sharpe.

On the golf side, the event will be highlighted by former Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III, two-time major winner Brittany Lincicome, 2026 U.S. Solheim Cup captain Angela Stanford, and four-time PGA Tour winner Woody Austin.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary, organizers will award prize packs to 30 randomly selected fans in attendance.

Over the years, the event has welcomed an impressive list of participants, including Arnold Palmer, Samuel L. Jackson, Ric Flair and Anthony Anderson, among many others.
