An Inside Look at River Hills Golf Club

Golf writer Chris King takes us on a tour of the Tom Jackson designed River Hills Golf Club, one of the Myrtle Beach area’s hidden gems

Welcome back to the Myrtle Beach Golf Insider for a tour of one of the area’s hidden gems, River Hills Golf Club. This Tom Jackson design is tucked away in Little River, but it’s worth taking the time to find.

With water on 13 of 18 holes and tree-lined fairways, River Hills presents a significant challenge for even the best of players. Precision off the tee is rewarded as fairways can be tight and the ever-present mounding challenging, but the layout is a joy to play.

River Hills has few parallel holes, a back nine that features substantial elevation change, and superb year-round conditions. It’s the kind of layout that makes Myrtle Beach so popular as the course always over-delivers on the value side.

If you’re booking a Stay & Play Golf Package, let me encourage you to check out the Rewards Package, or you can book a tee time at River Hills directly at myrtlebeachgolftrips.com. Either way, this is a golf course worth playing.
