Course was laid out well with strategic areas that made you think about your shot placement. Fairways were wide and forgiving and the greens were in great shape! The sand was hard and compacted but once you figured that out you just had to adjust your approach. I would definately place True Blue again.

Great course and was in fantastic shape. Greens rolled fast versus other courses I’ve played at MB.

Challenging course given that there’s waste bunkers on the sides of what felt like every hole. Greens were fairly fast, but very consistent. Staff was great and pace was decent (slowed on the back nine a little). Overall a very fun time.

Always fun to play True Blue. Generous off the tee and the visuals are fantastic, every hole is different and memorable. Nice course conditions, staff very friendly and welcoming, can't wait for my next round here.

One of the best courses in Myrtle. Wide Fairways and the greens were fantastic. The Stranz Layout is amazing...worth every penny here.

Course in fantastic shape--tees, fairways greens--all are excellent. Great design every hole is different, beautiful...staff is exceptionally friendly and would highly recommend having lunch before your round.

This round was the one of the worst golf experiences I ever had. It took 1:45 to play the first 4 holes ! Our tee time was 9am and we had a 2:30pm tee time across the street at Caledonia. We had to leave the course at #17 to make our time. People at Caledonia said this is not uncommon with True Blue as they put too many people, too close together and there is virtually no supervision. I will never play at True Blue again.

True Blue is beautiful course that is challenging but fair and the greens were in excellent shape.

We had a coupon to golf today at true blue for cart fee only. Coupon was to expire at end of March. The club would not honor the coupon. Said they didn't honor coupons for March. We had to pay $119 to play. Contacted the course before we made the two hour ride up to play and was told coupon was valid. Thought this was very unprofessional by staff. Was a great course, however the unexpected cost made this a bad experience.

Keep in mind this was ONE week after one of the most brutal hurricanes the Carolinas had ever seen. You certainly wouldn't have known it from the awesome staff and the great course conditions!

Great place to play golf when visiting Pawleys Island South Carolina.

Always enjoy playing here. A must play when we come down and play in the Myrtle Beach area. Enjoyed eating on the patio overlooking the 18th hole.

Great golf course. Very fair but challenging.

Most over-valued course in MB, the practice facilities, greens, tees, cart paths, course information and overall course maintenance were extremely poor, by far the worst of the 7 courses we played this week. The price should be $70, not $170. Further, a number of holes are blind tee shots, no course information was provided on the tees or in the form of a players handbook, which should be included for that price. Do not waste your money here, play the TPC instead, better course and experience.

No GPS, cart paths difficult and poorly maintained. No club scrubbers. Course layout was confusing and inconvienient.

After all the rains, cart path only which makes for a long day, but still a great course with beautiful holes. It played extremely long because of the wet conditions but I would return in a heartbeat. We got a deal and paid just $59 a person which was good. I wouldn't pay some of the standard fees for this course but it was worth the money. The girl at the bag drop was very friendly and helpful advising us of some of the other area courses to play. Pace was great because of the 10 minute tee times, not 8. Wide open fairways but LOTS of sand and water as well. A great day.

What a beautiful course. Unfortunately we played the day after it had 3 of rain. Cart path only, and the starter told us to try and keep our round at 4.5 hrs. The bigger joke was that they came around timing us to ensure that we were compliant. I would to play the course under dryer conditions. The greens were great the fairways manicured nicely, but the course was just too wet to really enjoy it to its fullest. The waste areas are a visual distraction off the tee for sure, but if you missed the fairway and landed in one, they were so firm there was no problem hitting out. The greenside bunkers I'd say was the only drawback that I noticed. There was very little sand at best. More of a dirt consistency which in term became mud after the rain. If you have a chance to play this course, its a good one to put on the list.

We were concerned, it's known as a great layout and highly regarded by all the publications, but had heard the conditioning was off earlier this Spring, overall we thought the course was really good. Manicured bunkers, fairways mowed tight,the greens had some thin spots but rolled well overall. Real gem of a layout with friendly staff.

My wife and I visit MB every Spring and Fall. We heard the winter was rough here. The course is usually in excellent condition, overall it was good, not great this trip. Have played it at least a dozen times and it is one of our favorites.

Terrible shape tee to greens was told they had a bad freeze which caused the conditions to be as bad as they were. Only problem the other 4 courses we played next door were not affected. Save your money.

Phenomenal course from 1-18! Love the 5 par 5's and 5 par 3's really gives you a chance to grip and rip drive and score well as well. Staff was great, our group makes this the last day with Caledonia every year! We will see you again next year! - Greg

Cart paths are way too far from tee boxes and greens. Speed of play is hurt by this. I would never play this course again.

A little bummed out that I was not told greens had been recently punched when I called to make reservation. After we got past that I loved the course. Great imagination, beautiful views, very unique looking par 3's. if I was told ahead of time about greens, I would have made other arrangements. Played Caladonia to make it a 36 hole day...thought that track was fantastic in every way. From condition to the people...I will be back, soon.

This is a must play course. The fair conditions I checked above were a result of the heavy rains they've had over the last week. It was cart paths only and the fairways were very wet ! Normally the conditions would be excellent. The holes are challenging but fair. Beautiful layout but a long walk if cart paths only. My wife, a high handicap also enjoyed the course> I played from the whites, I'm 71 but the 2 guys who they paired us with are big hitters and they also played from the whites. They each own a condo there and ate low handicaps and big hitters. Accuracy to the greens is the challenge. Highly recommended.

Sand traps were awful

The employees have forgotten that the customer is important. They did not use good judgemnent in customer relations involving starting and pace of play. We will not return here. Course conditions were good.

Great golf experience. The course guide book is an absolute must or you will be in real trouble off the tees on most holes.

True Blue was great. If u are wondering if u want to play here, YOU SHOULD. The greens are perfect (11.5 - 12) Phil the cart guy was a great asset to the course. He was very helpful and nice. We went off at 12 and was able to play 27. Replay was $40 for 9.

The fairways were in great condition and the on-course staff were great. The greens had been plugged within the last 2 weeks so they were not in great condition. Would recommend this course to low handicappers. Might be tough for the higher handicappers.

Way overpriced for the value; if you like hitting out of someone's footprint from a greenside bunker then go there. They stopped maintaining their sand traps and I will never return. Better places to play for the money.

Love the course. Would like to have GPS in carts to make it even better. There were, though, plenty of markings to show distance.

Great layout.

This course is a monster from even the Blue tees, let alone the Black. The fairways are larger than any I have ever played, which takes a couple holes to get used to. Greens were the best we played all week. A must-play if your visiting Myrtle.

Awesome; must-play.

Wide fairways and large greens were a nice contrast to the length of the course. The cart paths in the sand bordering nearly every hole was a unique feature and made the course a little more playable in the event of an errant ball.

Long, hard fairway bunkers/cart paths were NOT enjoyable aspects of the course. In fact, all wet, hard bunkers after a week without rain were very disappointing.

Great course, great time. A must for anyone visiting Myrtle Beach to play golf.

Fantastic course - I highly recommend. Lots of room off the tees. Gets tough from there but the course is playable, you won't lose many balls, but is very challenging.

Course was cart path only due to overseeding and watering for the same. It would have been beneficial to have had cart GPS, and for the price of the green fees should have been a standard. Greens run very true.

Along with Caledonia, True Blue is without question the finest golf course and facility on the Grand Strand. Bottom line, it doesn't get any better than this.

Challenging course, Fairly placed hazards. The sand traps were not kept well. I would suggest the sister course Caledonia over True Blue. Great clubhouse! Great time to have a drink after the round and watch the action to the 18th green.

Unfortunately we were only a twosome; still the play took 5.5 hrs; we were behind two very very slow threesomes. the course beautiful but the play so slow..it was a miserable day. The attitude in the pro show was bad...they paid and like everyone else they deserve to play. This is crap...they desired to play within an alloted time and if they couldn't keep up the pace they should have been made to pick up. Unfortunately we will not return to True Blue simply because of this laissez faire attitude.

Can't wait to play here again.
