Do you want to fix 90% of your contact issues? Well, I'm getting ready to show you. I'm Meredith Kirk, LPGA teaching professional, and I'm at TPC Myrtle Beach to give you some really cool golf tips. So, if you have contact issues, one of the reasons may be that you may be hitting the ground first. So to correct this, you need to make sure that you hit the ball first and then the turf comes after. Okay, I'm going to say that one more time. Ball first, turf second. Okay, let me show you. So when you set up to the ball, I really want you to think about making sure that you trap the ball. You're going after the ball. Often times we see golfers that they're swinging down the ball and they chunk it. They hit it fat. They hit the ground first. We don't want to do that. So, we are going to trap the ball. I want you to really think about just hitting the ball and then working through the turf after you make contact with the ball. Let me show you. That felt really good. So, as I was as I was demonstrating that, you know, I have a nice divot here if you want to come closer and take a look at it. That was a great strike. I hit the ball first and as you can see after I hit the ball, you see that divot moving forward. That was a really good strike. That was great contact. I can actually see nice contact on the face of the club. So, if you can correct this area and think about ball first, turf second, you will correct 90% of your contact issues that you have with the ball. I hope you enjoyed that golf tip on contact.
